Happy Valentine's Day!

I was hoping to have some smut ready to post today, the next vignette in my 'All He Ever Wanted' series but then RL got in the way, with a vengeance, squashing my muses flat, along with any hope of getting it done in time.
So instead, I bring you the next chapter in the fic requested by addisonj about the Trio transitioning from war to peace-time. A ( Read more... )

Hmm. I'll have to admit, I don't see too much 'immediate' post-War fiction, and I never would have thought of it if addisonj didn't mention it. It does make for good build-up, though.

I really love how you capture the Trio's dialogue, especially Harry's.

It was not the most eloquent statement in the world, but this was Harry.

It's in the way it was conveyed, how you wrote it, that you can actually feel his gratitude and the underlying want in that small statement (at least, I could feel it, anyway...).

Waiting patiently for your fluffy smut. Your 'All He Ever Wanted' series is like cotton candy: fluffy, cavity-inducing (in a good way), and sinfully delectable when you get a taste of it.

This chapter was great! As always, keep up the awesome work!

Hmmm. Hermione's conceding that Ron can make Harry laugh 'as almost no one and nothing else could' - seizing that canon factoid by the horns, the one that's used against H/Hr shippers all the time, that life with just Hermione, sans Ron, was somewhat joyless:

There was much less laughter and a lot more hanging around in the library when Hermione was your best friend.

(Actually, reading that, it suggests that Hermione hadn't been Harry's 'best friend' until he was estranged from Ron and only she was left. Nuts.)

Anyway, maybe that's something you're going to address here? You've certainly got Hermione concentrating on Harry learning how to laugh again. Hmm.

I wasn't planning on reminding you of that moment. I rather think that both Harry and Hermione have grown up and changed since that time so Harry is less shallow and Hermione less of the all-work-and-no-play bookworm.

For what it's worth, it's something I try to show in my fics a lot, that Hermione can make Harry laugh. (Note, I did say 'almost no one and nothing else' not that absolutely no one could make Harry laugh as Ron can.)

That has to happen in any decent H/Hr story; particular the Harry-growing-up side of things. :-)

Noted. :-)

Not really coherent right now, but I enjoyed it. It feels very real for them just afterwards.
