Oh, my dear, I can't even be sure where to begin. After a very trying day, I needed a wonderful story like this to make things better. And it did, because you found an excellent balance between some lovely smut and a very true-to-life problem, one that makes Harry and Hermione feel all the more real as they deal with the heartbreak of miscarriage. This one was hard to read as my middle son's godparents just had a miscarriage at 10 weeks.

Honestly, I couldn't even read the smut--this was so emotional for me.

The emotions were wonderfully written, btw and I agree that "happily ever after" is not a promise of perfection.

How is it you write so many great fics! Even though I'm a man (and therefore stereotypically thicker than lead) I was really pulled by this fic, too. You really show the paternal side of Harry, which is something many writers and people in general don't think even exists in the male of the species.

Have you seen HBP yet? Strangely, all the scenes where Harry and Hermione comfort each other over Ginny/Ron actually work better to strengthen their relationship and bond!

I'd be really interested in hearing your opinion of the movie if you've seen it.

Until then, please keep on writing these love smutty, fluffy, heart-breakingly wonderful fics. By any chance is there another Empire/Regency one coming up? Maybe a whole different time period altogether?

No, I haven't seen HBP yet and in all honesty, I have no plans to watch it. I haven't even seen OotP yet and don't really plan to. Ever since Crappy Canon Day (2 years ago today, incidentally) I've gotten severely disenchanted with Harry Potter, as far as the books and movies go (and I was never a huge fan of the movies).

As for Harry's paternal side, I think there's rather a lack of fics out there about H/Hr's married life (one large part of why I'm writing this series.) I love writing Harry as a father and am sure he'd make a great one.

As for another Regency fic, I rather doubt it (but that's not to say it won't happen.) I'm in the middle of several fics right now and would really like to get further along in them rather than start something new (but then again, my muses may have different ideas.)
