You know, you can never write something that would be classified as pure PWP-style smut. Your gift of characterization, your ability to weave in thought-provoking ideas ("the thrill of knowledge"...that is so genius and so Hermione)...no one can take your stories, shove in two other names from some other fandom, and have it work. And I've seen plenty of smut!fics where one could do exactly that, where the point is the sex and the pr0n and not who's doing it. You never ever let your readers forget that you're writing Harry and Hermione first, and the situation second.

Thank you!!! I'm so glad you think so. Especially because the usual utter indifference to what's in-character and what's not in pure pwp fics; I detest those fics where it's all about the sex and the pr0n and you really could shove in any two other names and it would pretty much still work.

And as for writing Harry and Hermione first, but of course! :-D

The bit about helplessness was very nice indeed. I loved her seduction of him as well.

Also, it was particularly touching that you started off with him tucking his daughter in.

I'm glad you liked that bit about helplessness. That part just came to me and I had to include it because it really did strike me as true. I can't see H/Hr being about kink like that, because of the other times in their lives they've been tied up and helpless.

And, well, it's always fun to write Hermione seducing Harry. :-D
