Well I'm satisfied so far! :-)

The angst is strong with this chapter. Or the 'drama'. Or the 'self-reflection'. Anyway, Harry's certainly doing a lot of thinking.

One of the many horribly simplistic bits of writing of Rowling's in book 7 was the 'ike a sister' line. She wrote it out of the blue. The way Harry said it ... having *never* discussed girls, or Hermione, with Ron before - just made it one more bit of artificial writing. Harry blurting it out in the forest as a convenience for a lazy author.

I think their talk here is much more believable.

“Hermione’s not my sister,” Harry blurted out unthinkingly, with a vehemence that shocked him.

Hee. :-)

Well, at least his subconscious has worked things out!
