The first of the requested fics- for philstar22 who wanted a fic involving Harry and Hermione helping each other get past angst over the War.

For some reason, my muses took the suggestion and came up with a fic that takes place not after the War but during it. Angst with some fluff.

Definitely needs a sequel!

Also, I really liked the parts you included about Hermione's parents and how even if she manipulated their memories, Harry doubted she had entirely erased herself from their minds. Having children changes you on such a fundamental level, I just don't believe the Grangers totally forgot about their daughter, no matter how brilliant a witch she was or how perfectly executed the spell was or even how powerful her magic. JKR never really explores that aspect of the story, but that was my own conclusion.

Rats, it looks like I missed an open season on fic requests!?!

Ah, Hermione's mind-wiping of her parents. One of the top things that's thrown up by anyone wanting to malign our girl. I'll have to remember the Bingblot defence from now on: "It is hard, but you did what was right, not what was easy." ... "They’re safe now and that’s what matters."

... just not being able to write and knowing they don’t remember me, I miss them more.

That's a nice little bit of emotional non-logic; a good bit of insight.

but H/Hr have their own minds and it happened anyway. I'm pondering a possible sequel, of sorts, to this, for after the War, when Hermione has gone to bring her parents back, but that's up in the air.Heh. I used to think the author was the boss, but I see that I was mistaken ( ... )

Oh, you didn't miss it. I didn't put up a deadline for it. Just be prepared to wait for a while before I manage to get to it since it's getting to be crunch time in RL so my time to write is spotty, at best. So, feel free to make a request and I'll see what I can do.
