AWESOME. That gives me inspiration. Like the last 1970s one, writing this is like tearing each word individually out of my head. I have the idea. I like it. But it is not anything that flows.

A friend introduced me to the books in college and I love them so.

I think they are avaiaible as ebooks if you want to get them. I have some carefully hoarded copies that have been read more times than I can count. We'll have to see if I succeed in writing anything. The tone of the books is something that is not at all my natural way of writing but I'd like to get better at that. We'll see.

Ha, i put things in my amazon cart when I think of things I want to buy but dont have enough to make an order or something.

I hope you get to read them again. They stand up remarkably well, though they are dated in some ways. The author completely missed cell phones, for examples.

Ha! I came into fandom via Les Mis. I feel like I have finally caught onto the spirit of Hugo with that ridiculous map! (However my characters have first names. Hugo is famous for characters with no first names. It is crazy.)
