I'd be pissed. You don't sleep in someone's class and throwing a pen at a sleeping studen is hardly chucking a book at his head. Bottom line is he shouldn't have been sleeping. Period.

Turns out that the student had spent a fairly wild night out on the town, and came to class straight from the partying. Alright, no worries, been there myself. But I didn't go to the powers-that-be and pitch a fit when I was ordered out of the class or (as is the ritual in my class) winged with a pen and ordered to spend the rest of the class on my feet. Bunch of soft, whiny, bitching pussies, the lot of 'em.

Oh well, huge exam on Friday...bet he'll be wishing he stayed awake then.

Nothing. I went to my direct supervisor and told her about the meeting, and she said yes, she heard concerns about my "methods" from the administration. I asked her what she wanted me to do, and she said "Keep up the good work."
