In a couple of months the first book of Stupid Snake Comics will be ready for print, with plenty of bonus pages, nifty cover and whatnot! I figured it's time to start working on the cover more seriously. I've been sketching cover ideas for a few months now, but that's not "serious". So let's move on to the seriousness. Maybe the snake from the first logo, but without the scales; that is, just with the details around the eye and mouth as in the first logo, but with the body all black, like in the second one. I prefer the lettering in the second logo.

So somewhere in the middle, then. Alright. I'll try that, thanks!

The concept, I think, is just fine. As far as the execution, I would go with the first version-- as the idea seems clearer to me in that one. The lettering has more character as well, but I would rework the text a little just to give it a bit more polish; your'e selling a book after all. Incidentally, I CAN"T WAIT. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the feedack. I'm gonna try and rework this a little bit. I'll post the results in the next couple of days and we'll see if I made any progress.

Either logo is fine! They both look great.

As far as a cover design goes, I've noticed that if you have a cute girl on the cover (she doesn't even have to be naked or scantily clad, although that helps too) that sales will be a quarter to double what they would have been if you don't. It's true.

That is solid advice. I will keep that in mind, for sure.
