It's really sucky how cosplay has evolved (or, perhaps, devolved?) into an amateur fashion show with truckloads of dramu and self-whoring, and although I don't think we'll ever be able to change what it has become, I'm going to stick to cosplaying the characters that I love, not for the sake of having my picture plastered all over the Internet and gaining fans, but for the sake of giving a little back to the fandom that I love and sharing in the experience with my friends.

Personally, I hate it when people would want to take my solo picture. I always come with a group for a reason. I'm sharing my love for the fandom with everyone else, and not because I want people to take my darn photo.

Inorite. But that isn't always the case for all cosplayers. Just look at Alodia. And the attention whores during cons. You can't miss them.

I agree with you on the cosplay. What frustrate me is when the costumes are not even ACCURATE, but people think it's good anyway because the cosplayer is 'pretty' (with most of it being Photoshop, really). And hell, all meaning of cosplay is lost when there's no passion for the series you're cosplaying from D

If all they care about is the face of the cosplayer then they should just look at models instead, wtf. I hate it when people ask "who should I cosplay as?" Cosplay is done out of love and passion, and not out of vanity, damn it.

I don't wanna cosplay female characters anymore. There's too many attention whores and perverts at conventions nowadays.

On a related note, last week na ng Reborn sa ABS this coming week. Titigil sila bale sa ep 102. At hindi na rin ako umaasang itutuloy ito ng ABS, with its low ratings and all.
