The problem with the dobsonian is where the cradle meets the bearings. I'm not sure how you'd create a smooth curved surface needed for the altitude adjustment. The base wouldn't be a problem, since they do that for the Alt-Azimuth mount here. I think a better bet would be to make an equatorial mount. Being that we're at approximately 45 degrees. It'd essentially be putting the Alt-Azi mount on a second base canted at 45 degrees.
I think we would have to actually glue it to make sure it didn't fall apart.
I believe Lego does have some block pieces with curves, some outside, and some inside for various attaching pieces to slide or swing in a curve. You'd have to double-check, of course, and see if they're currently available.
