You know, Shannon, the H/Hr relationship really could be translated to an original YA story pretty easily, especially since JKR apparently does not plan to develop the relationship any further. They don't have to be a witch and a wizard, just a boy and a girl who are kind of outsiders in their environment and who stick together throough thick and thin until they become the most important person in each other's life.
Hmmm...maybe each of us could write a NaNostory based on this idea. *light bulb*
That's a good thought, though I hadn't gotten that far yet in my pondering. I'm still trying to think of general universe structure and plot and such. And my protagonist is currently nine years old since that's the oldest age group I teach and am familiar with :-D
But if I do come up with enough ideas to fill a series rather than a stand-alone, then it's definitely something to consider.
NaNoWriMo is National Novel Writing Month, held every November. Folks who choose to participate try to write 50,000 words in a month in an exercise to kick-start their creativity and to learn the fine art of not stopping to edit every other thing. I started last year but had to drop out (sudden need for cash meant I had to make a lot of Christmas gifts).
Hi sorry to randomly pop in on the comments of your LJ but I wanted to know if you ever had someone make that icon you requested the other day in harryhermione. I would like to have a copy, whatever. Thanks.
