I don't believe this, I didn't expect to be so moved in my last quick journal perusal of my lunch time. This is just *lovely*. Very moving. The idea of Dean being the outside observer is excellent, and you described the attitudes of Harry and Hermione towards each other beautifully (although with Dean's first little discovery I was a bit disappointed that he didn't discern something *extra* ... a little tenderness or some sort of emotional depth that had been missing with the Harry/Cho crush? ... in Harry's expression).
This is honestly a beautiful little nugget, I really got drawn into the whole gem of the idea. I think your 'noble Harry' start with his hopes to (a) protect his friends, or then (b) preserve their memories, made me particularly vulnerable. My Y chromosomes forbid my telling you the full impact this little story had on me. Thank you.
Thank you so much for the kind words. I know exactly what you mean about Harry's expression and that was a point I wanted to edit but couldn't as I was a single parent last night. When I get a chance today I will tinker with it.
Ohh that was wonderful! It's been a long time since I read any H/Hr fic.
It's so true that the artist has to watch the person he's going to portray a lot so he can go past the forms and shapes and add something of the person's character and essence to the picture. How wonderful that Hermione's love for Harry is what makes her *Hermione* in that paiting. And hee, Dean's got Harry figured out too!
Thank you so much! This whole bunny started with the idea of Dean painting, so I wanted to be sure to do the process justice, even in this short fic. I'm glad you enjoyed it.
Oh gosh, this was lovely and moving and so perfectly them. I love that a neutral outsider could see it, and gave Harry the nudge he needed to realise how they felt about each other. So wonderful, Shannon. Thank you so much ♥
