I used to be able to fast in Lent. I wouldn't eat on Fridays during Lent (though I would still drink Pepsi), and would call it my "Lenten thing", as Catholics are supposed to have Lenten things or whatever. Know hold on a minute, don't be so hard on your self, know. I mean, right know, you're being silly. Where was I going with this? Oh yeah, it's good to now I can still eat red meat any time I want, even if it is lent. Ah, the perks of being an atheist might not be many, but this is one of them. Know, to become a hindu, so I can look forward to appreciating these perks for multiple lifetimes. I'll be one of those progressive hindus that eat cows. They exist, I read Stranger in a Strange Land, and there was an Islamic gentleman who ate pork, so I'm sure there are Indian counterparts.

And hey, don't kick yourself too hard about the loss. I once lost a wallet with 400 dollars in it, and that really sucked, well actually, I found the wallet ten days later by a storm drain after a major storm, and the money was still in it, but it had soaked to mush by the rain, so I was mocked a second time by my loss. CURSE YOU, VISHNU!!!
