Hi Guys,
As many of you Austinites probably have heard, one of my best friends in the entire world died last night after being in a 15-day coma, the very beautiful Shannon Leigh.
I wasn’t planning on returning to Austin this summer except for one week in September, but circumstances have made it necessary for me to come back. I’ll only be home for this one week, June 5-June 10 - just to be with family and friends and attend Shannon’s funeral.
I have a lot more to say about her, about us, about how I feel about this, but I can’t seem to get it on paper yet. I loved her so, so much. I know that her greatest fear was death, but she always danced the line between the living and the spirits. If she was right - I believe she was - then she can’t die. She’ll be here, in the ether, waiting.
I’ll see you all in Austin soon.
