שלא תפספסו את השירות החדש והמצוין של ג'ימייל: Gmail AutoPilot™.

אבל אני ( Read more... )

Well, in that case... "AND IT'S USELESS TO RESIST US!"
Ahem... never mind that. In that case, may I suggest ditching hotmail and going for Gmail?

But yes, Thunderbird supports IMAP and POP3.

I have gmail, it's my main mailbox nowadays. I kept my hotmail mailboxes only because they contained some old correspondences I was loath to ditch. So now, I can install the new windows mail and download all that stuff to my computer before I shut those spam-collectors down.

Well, in that case, if you get Thunderbird Portable, you can open it, download all the mail you want, and then just delete it without leaving a trace on the system.
And then, if you haven't done so already, get hotmail to identify Gmail as its boss and be done with it.

How come e-mail suppliers haven't developed the "Forward Everything" function?

I think you missed some crucial line there, in my post. Might be that you didn't read it all the way.

And they didn't develop the "forward everything" function because where's the logic in that? It's not as if they want you to use the accounts they supply you as irrelevant slaves to other account.

However, I didn't think about making gmail leech my hotmail accounts. I have to check if the option is available again.

I have an opinion regarding this subject, but I can't make up my mind between "KILL IT WITH FIRE" and "NUKE IT FROM ORBIT". So I suggest you do both.

Seriously, there's absolutely no reason to use hotmail these days. Take what you need from there, store it on your PC, and kill the poor thing.

Don't be upset; it was a mercy killing.

Well, there are several reasons. F'rinstance: it is convenient to have another web-mail when gmail suddenly crashes for half a day, say.
The main reason I keep those addresses is they are the ones I used in particular websites, so they are sort of my link there. Like, say, the one I used for my stories in the heberotic site. How else will I get emails from horny guys who read my stories there and would like to deepen our acquaintance? I mean, some of them can even spell!

I know what you're saying, I keep a yahoo mail account just for that (In case you didn't know, I also write erotic stories under a female nom-de-plum*, and I know what you mean about the guys).
However, hotmail is just... bad.

A lie? What a shame. If you ever do decide to write erotic stories under a female nom-de-plum, I'd appreciate it if you gave me a link. For academic purposes.
