Firstly, don't you ever feel like you have to apologize. People tend to walk on eggshells around me because I am what I was raised to be; a fragile, sensitive person. I need to hear the truth, no matter how brutal it may be. So, I want to thank you for that

Good. I'm a good, nice person, but I can also be a complete asshole. I've read a lot of your recent entries - I feel for you, but I don't feel *bad* for you. We all have to deal with the cards we're dealt...whatever that means, we do it, and we move on...good or bad. I haven't been dealt a great hand myself, so I empathize, but you will never - hardly ever - get any sympathy from me.
@ The Xbox comment, jeez, that's got to be one of the worst things in the entire world when it comes to gaming. They have a guarantee of 3 years for the Red Ring of Death now on every Xbox, and they can recover your data, so at least that's slightly comforting, no?
I've been playing for about three hours. I've started the main questline, and plan on closing the first gate into Oblivion, and then I'm off to do a bunch of other stuff since so far the game seems so open.
Actually, what happened with mine was the XBOX corrupted my harddrive. I was asked to send in the unit without any accessories such as the hard drive and memory cards. So, I did, they replaced the unit, and when I got it back I put the hard drive back on and found that all of my saved games had been corrupted due to the crashing XBOX. I talked to Microsoft about it and they apologized and said there was nothing they could do because the warranty didn't extend to the accessories.
But, yes, the game is completely free roam and open. You can go anywhere, do just about anything, and it's a really good way to play. It gets confusing sometimes because the game world is so huge, but all in all I enjoyed it. I just can't do another 200+ hours again. I tried to start and got bored within the first hour. Fallout 3 is the same type of play style. The world is open, it's free roam, and it's also pretty good too. For me though, it's too much like Oblivion, and I just can't get into it.
