Did he try typing gay rome into Google, because I just did and I found lots of resources.

Was that possibly too difficult for your friend, or maybe too time consuming? Just wonderin'

If you've never heard of it, heres the website: www.google.com

no trouble at all. what i was wanting was personal suggestions from people who've been there. google is fine (thanks for the heads up on it!) but a personal recommendation is always better.

i really thought i'd have a worse experience getting info on the straight eurotravel community, but the first prob i encountered was on this one. fucking sad.

hey man, i have actually never been to Italy. I've spent most of my time in France, Ireland, and Benelux. So it's a little different- because I don't think Italy is quite as open to gays.

But this guide has been pretty helpful: http://www.gayguide.eu/

Sorry I can't offer better/more personal advice. Please be careful though. Last time I followed a guide (from a book, not a web site), for gay bars in Ireland it was an extremely scary experience (and not because of the gays).

exactly why posted for some help. guides are good, but people who've been there are the best resources.

Uhhhhhhhh my old Latin teacher went to Italy every year, and she told me if you're in Italy and you feel fruity you flick or tug your earlobe.

Google is a good start for finding clubs... but if he's walking around he can pick up these "hints." =]
