Any good fics exploring Wanda's trauma?

MCU Wanda, specifically. Be it on its own, in tandem with Pietro's, or in comparison to Tony (shared issues with authority due to HYDRA and Obie respectively) or Bucky or Natasha (always being seen as a weapon) or... literally anything that cares enough about Wanda to write her with depth instead of just bashing her because "oh noes she hurt Tony".

She willingly joined a nazi organization, mind raped people, willingly teamed with Ultron, set Hulk loose on innocent people, assaulted her best friend, ect. She's a terrorist that killed innocent people and pointing that out isn't bashing, it's telling the truth. She should be sent back to her own country to answer for her crimes.

1. It's canon (read This Sceptre'd Isle) that she and Pietro did not know that Strucker and List were Nazis when they signed up. Strucker and List were claiming to be SHIELD.

2. She put fear into Tony's mind because she has sought vengeance against him since she was ten years old because his bombs killed her parents. She's as justified in doing that as Tony was attacking Bucky.

3. She teamed with Ultron because he promised to help her achieve the vengeance she'd sought since she was ten - basically her goddamn trump card.

4. She attacked Vision because Vision was illegally and without telling her keeping her imprisoned. Tell me you wouldn't want to punch a friend who betrayed your trust.

5. Yes, she killed people and caused deaths - and she makes amends for that every day by trying to be an Avenger just as Tony Stark does6. There's a difference between dealing with the facts of a character and bashing them because you have an unfair grudge against them even though they share motivations with another character everyone provides

I like this comment a lot! I don't understand people who like 'bashing' fics, I don't like Steve, yet have no desire to read something which is clearly biased and bashing him.

As for fic recs, I don't have many and most of them are old, and a lot are probably a bit more Pietro focused (I love both twins, but mostly read ones with both of them in):

I don't get bashing fics either - to me it's always seemed kinda lazy but effortful, someone going to this effort to write only the most basic view of a character because they want everyone else to hate a character as much as they do, rather than giving them any depth or looking at the whys of their decisions and actions as much as the resultant fallout. I especially don't get cowardly anons deciding they need to pitch in their hate when it's been decidedly unasked for.

Thank you for the link! I shall have a poke through. And that's fair, I like playing the twins off each other too, there's something nice about it. I mostly ask more specifically after Wanda because of the sheer amount of hate I see aimed at her by Stark stans - I want something nice and depthful to wash away all that vileness.

Think I've seen that one in passing before. I noped out at the A/N which goes against canon and has Wanda a willing HYDRA sign up which is. Not canon. Thanks, though.
