Hi, Okay like the title says I am looking for fics where Loki while on Asgard makes the choice to do something other than a diplomat or scholar. Can I offer up my own story?
It’s a bit of an AU. Loki dies at the end of dark world, for real. But “something” brings him back, along with someone for Steve.
Loki later decides to become a doctor.

Loki is with Steve and does a few different things. He has a Vlog and teaches at Xavier’s school. But it’s not really a career. TBR is very heavy in BDSM so be warned.

I know you said away from the crown and politics, but if you want a really *really* good story where Loki gets out from under the negative expectations of Thor and The Warriors 4 - if you haven't already read it yet - you might want to read the "Another Turn of the Wheel" series by SofiaDragon on AO3. "A Timely Warning" gets it off to a smashing start!
Loki gets out of the palace, into a place of his own, starts setting up his own household, and becomes a Ranger and a Builder (architectural). Thor and his followers are seem as the fools they really are!

I got sent a link saying that they found my story from looking through someone's LiveJournal recs and came to dust off my account. Fair warning, the series is over 200k words, but I tried to ensure each part ends at a satisfying place.
