Wanda thinks HYDRA is SHIELD

I’m sorry I can’t recall more or even where I read this: when Wanda and Pietro are first approached by Hydra, they actually think it is SHIELD. I think the story may have been based on one of the comics(?). If so, would anyone know which comic?

The comic would be the AOU tie-in comic This Sceptre'd Isle, which acted as a prelude to AOU the film. In it Strucker and List make claim to be SHIELD when recruiting protestors. As for fics based on that.... there's a few from the Maximoffs end of fandom. If you can tell me any further plot points I can probably help you find it, if you can't remember any I'll just list all the fics I know which use it as a basis.

Thank you. I’m afraid I can’t recall much more, just that the colours red and blue, for Wanda and Pietro, are a major motif before and after they get their powers. In fact, that’s all I can recall, the colours.

That's something I tend to use in my fics, the colour motif thing. Um... try my Memento Mori series? I'm not so fond of it now as I was when I wrote it (too much Christian imagery) or there's various of my oneshots series. I'll have a poke through other's works I know of and see if I can find any others when I get in from work.
