Also, the place where you can ask any questions you might have, which I've not listed.

What is a remix challenge?

A remix challenge is sort of what would happen if a gift exchange and a prompt meme had a baby. Participants are matched with someone else based on what they put on their sign-ups and the sort of work they've already created. When you're matched with someone, you find one of their works and re-create it. You can do this in any number of ways. Change the ending, change the setting, make it an AU. In a way, you're writing fanfic of that fanfic (or artwork, if that's what you get matched on). The Rules Post covers a bit more in-depth what you're allowed to do and what you should avoid doing.

What fandoms qualify?

Short answer: The Avengers fandoms. Long answer: fandoms that are attached, in one way or another, to the Avengers. This includes comics, Earth's Mightiest Heroes, MCU films. The MCU is pretty big right now, so you'll probably be seeing a lot of that, but again, see the Rules Post for how this affects what you're able to write.

Why is this on LJ and AO3? Why don't you have a DW mirror?

I didn't mirror this on DW because it's really easy to lose track of what's going on that way. I went with LJ because it seems to have a more active fanbase (in this instance) than DW has.

The reason for hosting the fic on AO3 is because it makes reveals a bit easier, and LJ is kind of an awful platform for reading right now. AO3 also gives the authors a bit more control over their fics, since they don't have to be posted by a mod to remain anonymous until reveals.

I don't have an AO3 account. What do I do?

Now is a great time to request an invite code if you don't have an account. Simply go here to do so.

I don't have a LiveJournal account. What do I do?

Sign-ups here are open to anyone. If you really want one, you can do that on the home page. This community has open posting for anon and OpenID for those who don't want to create an account. I do have Captcha turned on for non-registered members, but that has more to do with spambots than anything else.

You didn't answer my question.
