Bucky/non-powered any, realization of trust anonymous November 8 2014, 04:29:51 UTC
I would love to see a recently deprogrammed bucky sort of lurking around the common kitchen when it's Any's turn to make dinner, and Any puts them to work, some sort of prep (chopping onions? cutting the ends off green beans?) that requires a knife. Any hands Bucky the knife and then goes on their merry way, is at the stove, digging around in the fridge, not at all concerned that THE WINTER SOLDIER IS BEHIND THEM WITH A KNIFE. To make it especially poignant, I would like it to be one of the 'regular humans,' ie someone who has no hope of fighting him off, so not Natasha, Steve, Bruce, post-Extremis Pepper or Thor.

Doesn't have to lead to a relationship between Bucky/Any, basically I want Bucky accepting that he really is a part of the teamfamily, that they trust him and he belongs. GIVE ME ALL THE BUCKY FEELS, ANON.

She turned her back on him and put the pot on the stove, turning on the heat and then waiting just a moment before dumping in the ground meat and breaking it up with a spoon. Dr. Foster leaned over, closer to him, to read the recipe, then yelped and reached right over his left shoulder with a hasty, "Sorry, oh god, I didn't even count how many I needed, please, please tell me Bruce didn't eat them all!" She pulled out cans of tomatoes and tomato past with a grin of triumph and counted them with a sigh of relief ( ... )

Re: FILL 2: Gen, slight pre-Bucky/Clint, realization of trust 2/2 bradygirl_12 November 8 2014, 23:13:30 UTC
"Sure," Barnes says and grabs a couple oven mitts. He handles the casserole gently and walks out of the kitchen with his spine straighter than when he came in, like he's proud that Clint trusted him to carry it.

*sniffles*

It's not like Barnes's choice not to murder him with Stark's kitchen knfe is an admission of love or something.

(Even if it is the kind of gesture Clint would find romantic, fucked up as he is.)

*laughs*

I loved everything about this, but that last line is absolutely golden.

OP! Two fills in a day, what an embarrassment of riches! I love the characterization of Hawkeye as people-perceptive as well as sees-things-from-far-away perceptive. And the last line? AHAHAHAHA Clint. He would be one to appreciate the feral cat newly deprogrammed spysassin approach to courtship.

I didn't know there was a second fill for this awesome prompt. Loved it! Especially Clint's comparisons, and that he knows how to treat Bucky to make everything better.
