I may be way off, but I think Jian Sword. It's elegant, not too large, sharp and can be quick, and I'm sure you could use part of it as a blunt weapon. That you would be willing to undergo extensive training and your willingness to fight makes me think it just fits well, though I saw a lot of the other sword types too. :)
