Hey I just got back from the wondercon, and I am amazed at what I saw o_O. Yeah I lurk here, thought you'd like to know about the new season and all....
Well, basically it starts out with a dream. Aang is..well Aang, but he is watching his Avatar self being all scary and killing things and just generally wreaking havok upon EVERYONE! There is even a part where it looks like he attacks Katara anD Sokka, but ... only not really. It was a dream sequence, so it all kinda melted in and out randomly. It ends after he sees his Avatar self attack HIM while in that Moon Fish of Doom form that he took while wiping out the fire nation navy, and he wakes up.
They all leave the Northern Water Tribe, and they get water bending scrolls and Katara gets some.. .water... stuff in a necklace. Also, I noted they looked... different. Not completely different, but like they'd changed a little. Well, they all flew off on Appa.
And then the POV shifts to Zuko, who is busy being emo about the third "anniversary" of his banishment. Iroh tries to talk to him, but ends up making him angrier and all the more emo emo angsty angst cry tear...And THEN!! Guess who!!??
ZULA!!
Well, other than her high pitched voice, we learn about her bitchy personality when she threatens to throw her ship ...person overboard when the tides won't let them dock or something.
Back to Aang! He gets to the earth land place, and they are welcomed and stuff, but the King/Commander type dude of the earth kingdom guilts poor little 12 year old Aang into being his doomsday device. (For the sake of this little rant-y here, "guilt" is now a verb as well.)He basically says that Aang shouldn't bother learning all the elements, but should just be foreced into his Avatar state and wipe out the Fire Nation. Then he goes about guilting (remember, "guilt" is a verb now.) Aang by saying that the longer he takes, the more people die, therefore he should become a mindless zombie machine. So he agrees at the end to have the guy help him find out how to get into avatar state.
The last scene that was showed was back to Zula showing off her awesome on her ship. I swear though, all us SANE fans are going to have to reason out why fire benders control lightning before the next season comes to public, or all those "ZOMG IMATHUNDERBENDUR!1one" badfiction writers are going to be unstoppable. Zula has mad lightning skills. I don't know how this is logical at all, but she does.
The TECHNICAL last scene is just a bunch of flashes of the second half of the episode... Aang training, Zuko fighting Zula, Random People kicking ass, stuff like that.
Well, my guesses are that Aang will find out how to get into the Avatar state, but can't control it, so he is going to have to control all elements in order to control it, so the Earth kingdom King/Man/Person is all like "Oh... well I suck, don't I?" (At least I hope that last part happens.) And alot of wicked action and fighting will take place. And it will be wicked.
