Okay so.

I started a film history class today.

So let's have some dates (I'm skipping a few so I don't lose y'all in boredom)

No, not facts! No! NOOOOO! )

WAIT WHAT THAT'S COOL

on the other hand i'm not sure if bryke would be so historically "accurate" as to indepthly research for the idea of silent movies...although i wouldn't surprised if they did. SO I WILL BE EXCITED ANYWAY

Oh, this is purely for fannish speculation.

(Though I wouldn't be surprised if there was background signs for some movie in the background, knowing Bryke, or some minor character who works in the industry)

I think Jet would also be an antibender favourite -- his home village was destroyed and his family killed by firebenders; we never saw any benders among the Freedom Fighters; he fought against the Fire Nation firebenders for years; when he found out about the firebenders in Ba SIng Se, he tried his best to warn someone only to be silenced by repressive earthbenders....

Oh, they could do beautiful things with Jet.

Jet would be the tragic character that every Equalist would know and adore for being both a strong nonbender and ~*ROGUISHLY HANDSOME*~. Just putting that out there.

Oh man, so much want. <3
Especially if some of the historical/propaganda films get a bit close to EIP in the 'hey wait, it didn't happen that way!' kind of way. <3

There was actually a bit of speculation on the tvtropes WMG page that there would be silent films, and 'The Boy in the Iceberg' from the EIP (with an altered ending, of course) would become a beloved classic that actual history buffs would despise. The only reason it would have gained popularity was because Toph would pull the whole 'Promoted Fangirl' thing and endorse it. :D

I love your film ideas -- I hope that happens. :D
