Title: Each Wave Her Mirror Author: daythirtynine Rating: K Words: 474 Genre: Gen ? (I'm bad at genres, guys.) Char/Pair: Yue, Yue/Sokka, Yue/La Warning: Spoilers through Seige of the North Pole. Summary: Yue sees all but watches only one.
Lol, sorry, I tend to lose coherence when something socks me eight in the solar-plexus. Allow me to elaborate.
The language you use is beautiful, although it's simple enough to relish in. Yue's quiet observance of everything around her, her chosen silence with her new and perhaps unwanted partner in life is just evocative and beautiful. And the fact that La seems to understand a little, an inkling, despite not being human, is interesting.
And the ending was lovely. Her choosing to speak, now that the centre of her observance is dead, is breathtaking.
Haha. I didn't mean it to be sarcastic but that I left you kind of speechless was compliment enough. But again thank you thank you. Your comment means so m much to me.
I read it earlier and I thought I commented! I'm a sucker for Sokka/Yue, it's so tragic and yet not. I always thought it was cute the way he looks at the moon differently after Yue. so the moon's looking back in this one; loved the different rates of time, it really heightens how totally out of reach they are. very sad - but in a good way :)
