Title: Dust and Stone Author: blue_lacquer Rating: K+ Words: 495 Genre: Romance/Backstory Char/Pair: Oma; Oma/Shu Warning: Spoilers for The Cave of Two Lovers (early Season 2). Summary: It's been one hundred years since Shu's death.
this is a great interpretation. first it's like of course no one can compete with her dead lover. then they'll be reunited in the earth. darkly romantic.
Beautiful. Love the way you describe Oma's earthbending and the way you explored the different roles of earth/earthbending, and how ultimately it's about fertility. Very sweet and sad. (This also reminded me just how awesome Oma is, ending a war single-handedly and all.)

That's a big reason I like the Oma/Shu story--she could have used her power for vengeance, but she decided to use it to stop the war.
