Second, I haven't actually read any Ayn Rand, mainly because knowing what I know about her works and philosophy I don't think I could stand them. But this fits what little I know, so kudos.

I didn't want to bash what I hadn't read so I tried and tried and, halfway through, came to the conclusion I only have so many hours in my life. I also read Anthem because it was short and came free on this e-reader app. In both cases there were kernels of good idea and writing that got buried in an avalanche of preachy nonsense. You're not missing a thing.
