This fits well with the show, and works well on its own, too. I am struck by your imagery: "grandmother white in the afternoon sky, as fluffy as goose-duck feather" and "The world is going to crash and burn, it’s going to fall out of the sky and everyone will perish in the flames." The juxtaposition of air and fire is nicely symbolic.
