Road To No Where (2/2)

“We all go through this you know.”

Jeff blinks, half-awake, there’s fresh blood pumping in his system, but he’s still recovering. Still limp and weak as an over cooked noodle.

For hours now, he’s been laying here, staring at the ceiling of this crappy hotel in the middle of who the fuck knows. Judging by the scent of heat, sweat and sand, he’d wager ( Read more... )

Oh, yay! I'm so glad he doesn't spend chapters and chapters wallowing in depression. I'm glad he's heading back to Annie now because I don't think I could take the separation and anguish!

Aah, it hurts so good, I'm on such a Jeff-pining-for-Annie kick recently, especially if he is in full awareness that he's in love and not in denial.

Btw, did Lola turn him because she wanted to or because he was dying or because he wanted to?

Lol there's sure to be more hurts-so-good moments, trust me. It won't be easy for Jeff trying to get back on Annie's good side.
-and since I'm on the fence about writing Lola into the series, I'll give this one away to you. -Jeff on the night Annie accepted her task as the slayer, got really pissed off, and really drunk and went out to try and burn down a local vampire bar. He of course, got his ass kicked seven ways from Sunday, and nearly bled to death. Lola, saved him because she thought he had something worth saving *cough*love*cough* -and she has her own past issues with that, and decided to turn him.

I can guess this much, though Annie needs to get off her high horse, too.

Oh, does Annie know what got him to the circumstances of becoming a vamp in the first place? I feel like not, and she has no idea the effort he put into reigning in the monster just for her. Lola was right, the slayer needs to grow up and not see things in black and white.

She does, but the same thing happened with Buffy. I just think its a mentality that slayers in general have in order to get the job done. -and Annie is just that type whose more determined than most to get a job done.

-and she doesn't know, Jeff never told her.
