Merlin

Annie is a princess. She is of noble birth, and the only child of the king. One day, she'll be queen.

These are the facts that can be tied to any princess of any land.

-but, there's one thing that shouldn't be added to the list. Magic.

Annie Edison, Princess of Greendale, can do magic. Which means death. Hanged, burned, tortured. The list of what they would do is endless.

So it's understandable, when she gets caught, by one of her father's knights, she panics.

"Please," she whispers, shaking with tears. She doesn't want to die. "-don't tell."

Lord Winger lowers his sword and for the first time, is scared. Scared for her. For Annie. If it had been any other person who found her, who had saw, she would have been dead by now.

He rushes to her, wrapping her in a hug as she breaks. He shouldn't be touching her, there are rules and codes, but at the moment he doesn't give a damn. He doesn't care about her doing magic, the rules against it, nor does he care about anything other than her safety.

He whispers a promise into the crown of her head.

"I'll protect you."

Velvet Goldmine

He can't be from earth. Is the one resounding thought in her skull.

Yeah, it's the 1970's and everyone is playing the androgynous card, but he's something more.

He's part rock-star, part revolutionist, playing an outer space God.

Under all the glitter, sequins and plastered on make-up is something amazing.

"Did you like the show?"

He's abnormally tall with feet flat against the earth, in platform white boots she feels miniature in comparison. She can only stare up at him, and wonder why he’s talking to her.

Annie Edison, is not hip. She isn't shiny nor does she stand out. She has the most boring hair color in a rainbow-colored sea of fans, all of them trying their hardest to catch his attention.

She can't even bring herself to go without tights.

The most adventurous thing she did today was sneak out to see his show before she finished her homework. So why is Jeffrey Winger, talking to her?

"I loved it." she admits honestly, still flabbergasted, she hadn't expected him to suddenly appear after the show. Or even if he did come this way, she hadn't expected him to speak to her.

He smiles, and she swears she sees stars.

Ugly Betty

Jeffrey Winger looked up to see a young, but dorky looking girl holding a cup of coffee. -and mail.

His mail.

"Here is your coffee, mail and Abed, Troy and few of the other junior editors wanted to speak to you later this afternoon, I booked them in after lunch."

She hands him the cup, and he takes a sip, it's surprisingly very good. Perfect even. It's rare that anyone gets it right.

"Uh...sorry, but who are you again?"

She seemingly crumples at his question, but answers, "I'm Annie Edison, Mr.Winger, and I'm your new assistant. I was hired yesterday."

Ah,...yeah. Now he remembers. He studious her a bit more, she isn't his type at all. Type of secretary that is, but that's why his mother intervened, he really can't keep fucking and firing them all in the same week.

Jeff takes another sip, he won't complain or fire her just yet, to keep his mother happy.

-but give it a week, and she'll probably leave of her own accord. He's not the easiest boss, and the shark-like waters at Greendale's fashion magazine isn't safe for someone who wears cardigans.

It’s too bad, because he really enjoyed her coffee.
