I was once a morbidly obese emo nerd that wore anything I could get for attention from Hot Topic, didn't do any drugs and spent most of my waking life in front of a computer or a Playstation. Can you imagine? That all changed when I went to college, started smoking pot and had this professor that hated me for the simple fact that I wore a t-shirt with words on it. The only thing that really changed was that I stopped buying things from Hot Topic. I don't think it's consumer whoredom per say. If anything, the whores are the people making them. At least it's clothing with a message rather than something completely useless. For someone that works for free hats I'd say this is nothing out of the ordinary. Get "Voting is Sexy" ... because voting *is* sexy and if there's one good reason to wear something that will only make people stare at your chest armed with an excuse it's that democracy doesn't when people don't vote.
