My dad took me on a group Bike ride with the local motorcycle club today. We went over a 100 miles. It was pretty fun, but it reminded me how different life and the people are here. At the picnic afterward, the only vegitarian food was the buns.

That's pretty cool. Sounds like you two are having fun together. I had this really awesome quiche tonight that was mostly greens like leeks, spinach, etc. Now that I'm turning down meat I'm noticing how big of a part of our culture it is. You can watch TV without commercials where the phrase "Big! Juicy! Burger!" isn't being chanted. I'm not sure if I'm going to resume the meat-eating once this month is over. I really miss eating meat sometimes but I don't really want to go back to that. I sold one of my computers the other day for $250. I want to use it to get to the gathering but for various reasons I probably won't. If anything I should be using that money to find work so I can afford a car or a bus ticket next year. Maybe I'll go on a whim, who knows. I hope you find your way there with ease if you so desire. This is funny, I miss you even though I go weeks without hearing from you all the time. I think it's just because you're so far away. :P

*Sreaming* <- Literally!

I'm going to fucking Rainbow! It's like, half a state away from my bus route. My ticket was only $230, and it was to maryland. You should totally come, Buzz.

I know what you mean about the meat. You'd think I'd said "Satanist" rather than "vegitarian" from the way my family reacted.

*sreaming continues in a squee-like manner*

ok, does this sound crazy? I can afford a round trip ticket but what I'd like to do is get a one-way ticket there because I don't know what's going to happen when I get there and I'd like go home with you if you if you think that would help you get home safely. I don't want to get in your way though. For $99 I can get a one-way ticket to Clarksville, AR. I think I'm going to buy that ticket now because it has to be a week in advance. Once I'm there I don't know what i'm doing. What are you going to do? Hitch hike? Bus? I'm bringing all of my LEDs and trading them into the karmic circle. I'd like to come home with you if you think that would be appropriate. I'd worry too about you too much if I wasn't sure your were getting home safe. Any thoughts? I'm excited! (nervous)

*More squees*

That's frickin' brilliant, Balin. I would love to hang out with you at Raindow. I'm gonna be pressed for time hitching back, though, so I'll be travaling alone. I just got this set of asain bell/gong things from the grandparental unit that will be fabulous at rainbow.

If you wanna bring my black light, it is in its can on the shelf at the head of my bed, the one that is actually a desk, near the corner closest to the outside.

The Gathering is in Arkansas anonymous June 18 2007, 20:44:02 UTC
It's like 20 miles, as the crow flies, north of I-40. I'm not going but I would if it involved making sure you got back home safely. Otherwise, I'd be spending more time on a Greyhound bus and hitching it to and from Tulsa, OK than I would actually being at the gathering. *shrugs* Like I said earlier, if you go: be save, have fun. :D
