Yes, you read that right. I'm off to bonny Scotland tomorrow (catching a flight from Bristol Airport, flying to Glasgow. For those unfamiliar to the UK's sense of scale, its roughly the distance from San Francisco to Los Angeles) for a right royal piss-up. It's my mate's 20th birthday, expecting a fanastic weekend. I hope you have a terrific time! When I was growing up, my dad was in the U.S. Nave and was stationed in Scotland for 3 years. I was there from age five until eight and my younger brother was born there. We lived in Edsell, outside of Dundee.

A colleague of mine took some of her friends to Glasgow for her hen night a few months ago. I couldn't help but wonder why anybody would want to travel such a distance for a night out. I gather though that overnighting in Glasgow from far and wide is the "done thing" nowadays, and apparently it is a very good night out.

Assuming that you don't overdo it (fat chance!) and end up being put, in your stupor, on a ferry to Tobermory or Benbecula (return ferries sometime next October), we shall hear from you on your return. ;)
