I do not consider myself a fangirl, but Lord Almighty, if this were made reality, I would be crying throughout the entire broadcast. For reals.

Now that might actually induce me to watch the show.

I was done with Sherlock until I saw this pic... my resolve didn't just break, it disintegrated. *sigh*

Is it a photoshopped image by fans, or a real thing the creators are going to make happen? It seems almost too good to be true.

It was posted on Gatiss' twitter account - but I originally assumed it to be a teaser of some sort, because Moftiss are sadistic like that. Apparently, though, at some point in the one off episode, Sherlock & John are going to be in Victorian garb \o/ IDK if that's for a single scene, or the entire episode is going that way???

Trying not to get my hopes up here, but I would srsly chew off my left arm to see them in a Victorian era Christmas special.

Autumn! So good to hear from you! *hugs*

I hope you're doing well.

I admit that BBC Sherlock mostly lost its appeal for me - still in the Holmes fandom but firmly on the canon boat - , but that's a pretty picture. ;)

Why, hello there. Long time no see, eh? *coddles you back*

If being braindead from the residual effects of a bipolar low this summer constitutes being well, then I'm just awesome ;) I also was having some formatting/posting issues with LJ which may or may not have taken me 6 months to realize were entirely attributable to Firefox... *facepalms*

I hated the BBC series with a passion untold after S3, and I doubt I'll watch S4 to see a pregnant Mary Morstan die (and frankly, I have no emotional investment in Sherlock & John anymore) but if they're setting one in the Victorian era, I'm dying of hope and anticipation some of that authenticity to Doyle I saw in S1 will return. And I have literally been wanting to see Cumberbatch & Freeman in a period adaptation probably for as long as the series has been on the air.

BTW, I am slooooowly sorting through the fics at ACD Holmesfest, think I have found a brilliant fic that I suspect a certain talented author of my acquaintance has written ;)
