I have a feeling that's how it's going to be left tonight... tho without the gratification :(

And if I may add-a very successful show on TV.

Yup. And because of that, you'd think he'd make an effort to at least be not such a prick today of all days. But it's Moffat, so...

No, I meant that it's all just hype that's gone a bit out of hand-they'll be back with a third series; of course, they will.:) Maybe I'm missing a vital clue (I do try to keep some distance from fandom so I probably don't have the full picture) but my feeling is that if the makers of the show hadn't poured so much fuel into a few sparks, everyone would have sat down to watch the episode tonight feeling a lot less tense about it. Again, I might be wrong.

Ah, I see what you mean.

I agree, they're definitely stirring the pot to get fandom's collective knickers in a knot and gods help me but it's working

You put it very succinctly. I'd like to strangle him about now.

My mum, bless her, said to tweet him and say "Do you want to deal with my daughter in the aftermath?".

Jerk.

Though, to be honest, I've posted stories before and gleefully watched for the outraged responses to cliffhangers. But I'm not making boatloads off it, either, so I agree with your assessment.

Leaving now, unfortunately - sending you virtual hankies and a stiff upper lip. :/

I think that's about the nicest thing he's tweeted today :/ But oh yes, this is Moffat looking for reactions, and he's getting them, too.

Have a good day - don't think too many angsty thoughts, and Reichenbach will be waiting when you get home. *hugs*

... and I have to wait at least a day until I can download it (legally, I might add :) ). Oh well. One more day with the Sherlock world still whole and happy.

And yes, we'll have to keep thinking "Empty House" over and over again after the end. Poor John. Somehow I expect him to need his cane again at the end of this ep. The injury was psychosomatic, after all.

You better prepare yourself. This one was effing INTENSE.

I was right in my surmises re: what they were going to do with the ending, but that didn't make the entire episode any less angsty... holy crap I'm trembling all over.

And I never looked about the cane, but I was thinking that too... I was just a teensy bit too emotional when everything was said and done to notice. Going off to have a breakdown nao :(
