I have insufficient vocabulary for this fic, but I'm going to try anyhow.

You...shot Holmes.

You...had Watson kill Moran. While high on drugs. And then go claim his Holmes without batting an eyelash about it.

And...you made it all make perfect sense.

You are a goddess amongst mortals and a queen of writers. Seriously...I have no words for this beyond HOLY FREAKING WOW. (You weren't kidding when you said your muse was going unusual places!)

This fic baffles even me... I have absolutely no idea where it came from or why it insisted on veering off to such levels of strange AU-ishness, but I am relieved and ECSTATIC (as in, flailing here) that you enjoyed said oddity. And oh gods, I hope it really did make sense, because... yeah. I was doubting that at several points throughout :|

Also; of course Watson eliminates Moran while his sobriety is dubious. He is the baddest BAMF that ever BAMF'ed :)

It makes me sad to hear you are not feeling well, and I will extend my virtual offerings to well wishes and chicken soup in the hopes you get better soon. I am also glad this fic helped in some trifling way instead of making you worse :D

The story was utterly unexpected, nothing like what I had imagined, so yeah, I can see where it might baffle even you, the author. But you handled it beautifully. And thank you for the well-wishes; I'm working on it!

You know, there are so many stories about this that a creative AU is rather more interesting than yet another version of the same.

(Besides, how do we know it's AU? EMPT is just what Watson wrote down, after all...)

Anyway, this is wonderful to read. I love how Holmes is still Holmes even in disguise, I love BAMF!Watson and "Inspector" Moran, and I love Watson being all dominant in the end (I do have a weakness for dominant Watson, and don't see him often enough). :-)

I am glad you found this an interesting version of EMPT! I'd absolutely no idea where it was going or what rabbit hole this plot bunny hopped out of, but I did want it to be its own version. You're so right, there are so many varying versions of EMPT that I was trying for something different. But was very worried about how it would turn out, so thank you for the vote of confidence :D

And good lord. I don't believe for a second that things went down with Holmes' return the way Watson claims they did...

I love Guide You Home, so I was already very excited to see you had written a coda for it. And after reading it, I found myself utterly speechless. Really, this story is so BRILLIANT! Not to mention incredibly well-written. How you kept Canon parts, and re-used it in a whole new way... In short, this is pure, undiluted, genius.
