Yesterday, a walk from Yule to Imbolc

Great post! Great story. Great picture. I envy you the arboretum. There is a lot to be learned from a simple walk in the woods...

...a photo of a Bride's Bed with the new wand? It's beautiful, as is the writing in this essay. I really enjoyed it! Keep writing! Did you look up turkey in any Ted Andrews books? I wonder what that encounter was meant to show you. I love those goofy turkeys. What fun to "walk with him," or a few feet behind! You should get a pair of snowshoes for woods walking. They rent them at Morton Arboretum, but they're not very expensive and they're surprisingly easy to use.

Yes, it is a photo of the Bride's Bed and the new wand. The pine cone is only temporary (for Imbolc), and I may keep a look out for a couple crystals to place by the little knobbies on the wand.

Tomorrow should be a day for slowing down and breathing; thanks for reminding me of the Ted Andrews' books; will definitely read up on turkey. I don't think I have ever walked *behind* one in the past; it was certainly fun to watch her on the snow.

Thank you for the encouragement to keep writing.
love,
