the whole met food thing makes me feel scared. some awful things keep happening around here. i don't like it one little bit. i would like to move....but where?!.
thanks lady! yeah, the met food thing is just really unexpected. where to move is chancey, especially because the neighborhoods are not getting better, just more expensive...
craziness about met food! of all places. but you know, there were always sketchy things happening in the background. there was a shooting on butler/smith once. in front of that glassy restaurant! and janine & tim's near-incident on bergen. having the projects a block away wasn't far enough!
yeah, any 'hood that's up-and-coming has and will always have an undercurrent of sketch. the poor natives are resentful...and who can blame them when they've got these naive dumbasses from safetown, usa walking down their street, sportin' fancy gizmos and spending thousands on rent.
two things NOT to do if one wants to minimize their chances of being victimized: 1 - do not listen to ipod when walking down a street 2 - do not talk on cell phone when walking down a street (at least, try to keep convo to a minimum)
