Who: Ed upyourscolonel and Winry automailmaker What: Picnic, Fishing, Fluff, etc When: Sometime this weekend Where: Pond; Risembool Notes: Log will be completed in comments. Hurrah.
"Yeah, yeah, I got it." Ed grumbled, dropping the cooler he'd been lugging around at his feet. He always managed to get over heated whenever he stayed outside in the summer for too long, so for once he'd had the foresight to bring along some cold drinks. He managed to pile the basket and the blanket on top of the cooler, and he hefted it up once again.
He wasn't sure he even wanted to go fishing, much less voluntarily sit outside with the heat and bugs. But Winry seemed pretty excited about it, and he figured it might at least help him ignore his annoying problems for a while.
Rod, reel, hook, check. Tackle box, bait, check. Food, picnic basket, blanket, check. Everything was ready to go. Winry turned to her alchemist geek, and smiled. Hopefully this would help him relax a little. Heaven knows he needed it. The mechanic then nudged the boy's ribs with her elbow playfully, and motioned for them both to leave.
Ed flinched a bit when she nudged him in the ribs and followed her out. He wasn't even sure if he should be carrying this much weight with his left arm yet, but he wasn't about to complain and risk looking like a sissy girl.
"Oi, what's the point of fishing if we can't even keep the fish."
He doesn't need complaining to look like a sissy girl.
"Catch and release is all about sport. Plus, the fish in this pond aren't worth eating anyway. I've been catching them for years, and nothing but pan fish bite." And out they went. The two blonds walked for a bit until they cam upon the pond. A few trees riddled the area, and Winry picked the biggest one, her favorite, to set up by. She put down the fishing poles by the water's edge, and tackle box not too far from that. The girl turned and relieved her boyfriend from the heavy blanket and basket.
Ed, being the bunny hugging little girl that he is, set the cooler down by the tree and set about grabbing a cold water bottle from it.
"How would you like it if some jerk threw a hook at you and drug you around the water by your face?" He said, ungracefully kicking the blanket out on the ground and flopping down on it lazily.
