As I told Alani and Justin at Mojo's last night, whether they remember or not, I said I would LJ about how my perspective has changed over recent years and how I've pulled myself out of the hopeless, depressing slump I was in for a few years.  Not to give the impression that anyone actually wants to read this very long, not super-readable essay.
