The sun and the clouds are currently at war.
Sun: Whee! I'm out!
Clouds: Nope.
Sun: Bitch?

True, neither Buffy or Angel were flawless but I think both have aged well. Especially compared to the first 90210 and stuff like that.

I forgot to mention Angel and Spike. I don't majorly ship them, but it's there.

Yep, this is one of the biggest issues with his character throughout the entire show, tbh. He never took accountability for his actions (including when he cheated on Cordelia and when he dumped Anya at the alter, then afterward treating them like crap for living their lives after what he did to them) nor did he ever truly apologize and grow from them. In fact, out of all the characters, Xander was the only one that I can think of that didn't have any true character development. He remained mostly the same throughout the entirety of the series. Also, it's kinda gross that he seemed to have a thing for almost all the women he was surrounded with. Though when you consider how Xander pretty much was the personification of Joss himself, it all makes sense that he would have the character written this way.

Maybe even right down to Xander not even being all that believably "uncool", since in all honesty, I fail to see how Xander's this huge nerd when he really acts like half the guys I knew in high school. Of course, I've mostly rewatched the third season and a few episodes before, so maybe there's things I'm missing. But I know I've seen that pointed out elsewhere, that Xander was really just... you know, a guy. But if he's supposed to be a slightly cooler teenage Joss Whedon, it makes sense. However, it also makes some of the things Xander gets away with even ickier when you know Joss was doing icky things the whole time ( ... )

I prefered Angel when it was more a detective agency and doing the monster of the episode format. Then it kind of went off the rails. I loved Cordelia on Angel and I hate the way her character was treated.
