I agree with the bias in the Weasley family. I felt that Ron had quite a few, and they did have to come from somewhere. I never felt especially connected to the Weasleys, although I did really like Ginny toward the end, and I didn't dislike them. I just never felt particularly drawn to them.
On my own re-read, I paid more attention to the conversation with Dumbledore in King's Cross than I had the first time through. I found Harry particularly insightful regarding him as he returned to the battle - especially Harry finally thinking he knows what Dumbledore saw in the Mirror of Erised.
I think your points about the Weasleys are really interesting. It possible for good people to be biased about an issue and not even realise until it's pointed out to them. Maybe Percy is more like his parents than anyone realised?
