And yeah, the million billion Marauder fics. :p You're totally right that they, canonically, were not like we'd always pictured them. So many fics with Snape as the tragic love interest of Lily Potter, too, which invariably cast James as abusive. Turns out the reality had a lot more shades of gray.
I have a question! Now I've finished Gof. :p What are your thoughts on Dumbledore, and on Mr and Mrs Weasley, now you're rereading the series as an adult?
