Mary-Sue Gabriella is so un-fun to write. So exactly how bad is it to have her out of character, if only a teensy bit, to be snarky with Sharpay after an hour of vocal practice? And when Troy comes into the chat? Would short, snippy - 'the boy is mine' type of comments be too much? And then in the same situation - how weird would it be to have ( Read more... )

She really is hard to write. I've just rationalized any sarcastic or 'mean' comments I write Gabriella saying by "Well, in the first HSM when she said 'Nice penmanship' she kind of had this bitchy look... so I think she kills people with kindness (or sarcastic kindness)... yep ( ... )

LOL. :D

I just hate her so much! But even if I'm not a stickler for canon I AM a stickler for in-character characterizations. :D But her character is BORING! *scowl*

But I TOTALLY understand about Sharpay. She's my favorite character by far. When she's being bitchy - and when she's being sly and conniving and the supposed 'villain'. :D

But my 'mean' comments I'm kind of justifying in a different way. I mean, she's kind of being attacked, and feels the need to defend herself (I got to be so bitchy to her - it was so much fun!), and then the other part that doesn't involve so much Sharpay (when she's not being perfect to Troy) I think I rationalize it by saying she's becoming hysterical from not being right and not knowing her boyfriend. :D

Thanks so much for the comment... I should be done with the one-shot I was referring to soon. Or at least decide to post the part I have finished soon. :D
