Oh my gosh, I agree so much with all of this. Especially the character development- Spencer's, to be specific, but Sam's too. She's becoming mature- she's having feelings for Spencer, and she knows, and she's dealing with it, and it's fascinating. To me at least, lol. The montage was amazing too. That song is still stuck in my head. XD This was a pretty great episode overall.
And in a way it's totally crazy! What is this, character development on a tween show?! MADNESS.
Yeah, even though I managed to come with a bunch of dislikes for the episode, I really couldn't think of any off the top of my head other than the first one. Generally my dislikes are more serious. :)
i love reading your episode evaluations and in depth analysis. Oh and i finally found some one who loves Spencer as much as me. It never escaped my attention that Spencer was the only adult that Sam respected and its now its clear that its not just because he's her best friend's brother. Is there any evidence that Spencer has feelings for her too?
Thank you! I do really love Spencer, it's true. Anytime he gets hurt I get very sad. To the point of disagreeing with Dan Schneider about it. :/ But that's another story entirely.
Right, it's not just because Spencer is Sam's best friend's older brother, she has grown to respect him as a person and as her own friend. As far as any proof that Spncer has reciprocal feelings? Well of course there's evidence! I find it both in the fact that they spend time together willingly and enjoy it (the scene in iMove Out when they all come home from ice skating is a quick example), and also because while Spencer is insulted by quite a few people at various times, and Sam is known to insult people a lot, every time Sam insults him even in the slightest way he gets more offended than he does when anyone insults him. Overall it adds up to quite a few things, in addition to treating each other as equals, and expecting more from each other, it's very subtle, but very solid.
No problem. And as for fic, I'd first like to point you to all that I've written, I'm a tag at the Groovy Smoothie, I'm in The Borogoves, I have a link on my page, and on fanfiction.net I'm Abster1. For things not written by me... well, I have a few saved in my memories that I find very worthwhile, and definitely worth a read, here's the link to my memory page they're under: http://www.livejournal.com/tools/memories.bml?user=author_abz&keyword=ship%3A%20spam&filter=all
