They'd be a hell of a team. Real Superman/Batman team-up stuff (or maybe Michael Holt/Amanda Waller -- that'll only make sense if you're a DC comics fan). But I wonder how much the mere sniff of Clinton would rile up the idiot Republicans into a voting frenzy. As you've seen in the comments to your own LJ, they're not exactly strong on logic and perspective...
While I agree the whitewater situation has not been totally explained, 'near-traitor' is a little strong, don't you think?
It's a matter of record that the Clintons took Red Chinese money both before and after Bill Clinton's election. The only reason why I appended "near" to "traitor" is that it's far from obvious what, if anything, the Red Chinese got in return. Though there are some clues that they got American secrets, or at least got the FBI to stand clear while they fished for them.
