I don't tend to do the whole chrismas thing, giving of presents for the sake of it - I tend to do donations in peoples names etc ... but this year I want to start to educate my family by buying them gifts that they can USE and are charity/fair trade/cruelty free/vegan from AustraliaAny websites/stores (apart from oxfam) that anyone can suggest? Or, similarly, the craft markets that are around the place, and more frequent leading up to Christmas.

I like the idea of supporting individuals or very small businesses, and supporting creativity.

I can suggest some nice markets, OP, if you're in Melb.

I'm in Sydney unfortunatly, but thats a good idea, I'm sure we have some sort of decent markety things that haven't gone TOO commerical.

Even though you already said it, I just have to express my excitement that an Oxfam store just opened right near me!!!
I'm buying all my Christmas presents there!!!

that has a lot of gift ideas there although you'd have to edit for fair-trade/aussie made/ veganness etc. I'm sure you could find a bunch of stuff.

I have bought from them and found the service really good. I purchased a rubber yoga mat and its freakin awesome. Acutally it was my christmas present to myself last year. =)
