Rory lay on her bed with Vladdie curled up by her feet.

She was reading The Comedians by Graham Greene.

Earlier, she had skimmed through her old copy of Romeo and Juliet.

No, her reading material certainly was not themed around secret affairs. Why would anyone think that?

Anakin, still using the Force to juggle his new magnets from Anders, stopped in front of Rory's door.

He took a deep breath, then knocked.

He gave her a sad smile, then bent his head to kiss her.

Rory's eyes fluttered shut, and she contentedly returned the kiss, laying her palm flat against Anakin's cheek.

Seriously. They were being silly. It shouldn't be such a big deal.

So why was it making her so sad?
