At the Echolls Residence [NFB]

When Rory arrived at Logan's, she was still shaking, and not just from the cold.

She pulled her key from her pocket with a trembling hand, and unsteadily fiddled with the lock. Succeeding after a moment, she opened the door and rapidly stepped in, pulling it firmly shut behind her and locking it again.

"Logan? Y-you here?"

"Rory?" Logan jumped up from the couch and hurried into the hallway. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah," Rory said, nodding and wrapping her arms around herself. "I...I saw him. Ran into him. Sort of."

"Angelus," Logan growled. "I warned him to stay away from you." He wrapped his arm around her shoulders and led her to the couch in the living room. "Where? What did he do?"

"I...um. I went to his room. I was looking for John, and he wasn't there," Rory said softly, allowing herself to be led as though not aware of herself.
